Story of my Life

I'm horribly at maintaining my blog. I know I keep on telling myself to constantly update it, but sadly I'm just too darned lazy hahaha. Well here's a squished mash-up update of my life from my last post on this blog using photo collages, just cause I'm just that lazy =P

Entered a giveaway on Traclyn's Facebook, and managed to win myself a box full of goodies from Fabulous Finds. Tried everything but Elizabeth Arden's skincare so far (It's like, so precious till I don't wanna use it yet! LOL)

Celebrated my sister's surprise birthday party at a quaint cafe that I really like myself at Kota Kemuning. The art-concept shop is called Dotz Cafe, and you really should try their brownies and alcoholic tiramisu! A must-try place that I so gotta head back there to snap more awesome photos :D

Became rather crafty and decided to make some earrings and a necklace for sale (?) though now I'm wondering about how to sell them da hur hur hur

I'm also prepping up for the next Supplies Surprise! Bazaar 8 which will be on November 3rd! I haven't taken any photos of my craft supplies yet but I sure hope to take them soon! I'm running out of time D:

I went to Singapore for a short vacation and visited relatives and went to Universal Studios Singapore (click here for more photos from me!) for the very first time! It was awesome, and I really cannot wait to head back there again with friends! =D
P/S: For you Sesame Street fans, there's going to be a Sesame Street corner end of 2012! I cannot wait to see what's unveiled ^____^

As most of you (I think) know, I'm into Ball-Jointed Dolls. So no surprise there that I had organized a dollmeet with local doll owners recently. I was pleasantly surprised that there were even a few Singaporeans who took the time to journey up to KL and attend this meet as well! Many thanks for making this gathering a success everyone!
In the photo posted above, there were a few dolls that are not in the photo, mainly because some of the owners had to leave early =( but overall, there are about 5-20 doll owners whose dolls are in this photo!


In summary, I had tons of fun! Some good, some not so good. But overall great =D It's such a pity I'm starting work next week hahaha. Ah well, a new chapter of my life is about to blossom before me =]

[Doll Talk] Post-Valentine Dollmeet Part 1

Last week, I managed to organize a Valentine dollmeet at Sunway Pyramid with other doll owners who could make it on that day. It was a wacky, fun-filled day (as usual) as we haven't really met up much over the past few months.

Photos were snapped non-stop almost as if we were all paparazzi for the day, and as usual, I attempted to get as many profile shots of the various dolls who were there during the dollmeet. Sadly, my own girl wasn't included cause she was...hiding at one corner 'sulking'. Ah well, here's the profile shots of the rest the dolls there! I don't think I managed to capture all of the attendees, but I'll be posting what I have :)

Project 365-2: Dollmeet

I just love snapping photos of Alex; cause she loves me doing so! :)

So yesterday was my first day blogging for the year; therefore this will be my second post for the second day :) What is for today? Dollmeet I suppose.

I met up with a couple of my friends earlier today at The Curve while having a mini dollmeet at the same time. It's amazing how we were so close to each other during Comic Fiesta last year...and yet so far. I did not manage to talk to so many people during the event and I realized that further today. Seriously. I wanted to splurge and indulge on getting new outfits and commissions for my kids...but sadly the ill-managed traffic control prevented me for that *sighs*

Ah well, I had a nice bitc--i mean, friendly chatting session with my mates about everything in general, and it was nice to keep up to date as well :)

Some wonder, why do we have dollmeets in the first place? I suppose for me (I know there are a lot of reasons, but these are why I feel sums up our dollmeets anyway) it is cause:

1) Friendly meetups - getting to know new people as well as meeting up with old ones
2) Tips, techniques, advices - as one of the 'green' mates of the community, I know I still have yet a lot to learn; and this is a good way to do so. Dolls aside, issues like faceups, commissioned/handmade clothes, eyes, etc carries issues of importance as well!
3) Cash-on-delivery - when else can we meet up to pass items that we have bought in a group order? This is an excellent time to collect your long-awaited goods!!
4) HAVE FUN!!!! This is the main reason of having a dollmeet. We want to have fun! With other doll owners, as well as with our dolls :)

So yes, our hobbies might be deemed as odd or strange to you, but hey, it is our hobby and our interest. It's something we all enjoy and therefore, we meet up occassionally to sit down and gossip the day away. It's just another way of meeting up at the mamak and have a bitching session for the day haha.

Lovely Dollmeet with Lovely Results

Today's dollmeet was an interesting one really. Not only did I attend a photoshoot as a model, Alex and Luna had gotten new clothes as well :) The photoshoot was done in order to help a friend compile a portfolio for his assignment due, so me and loli helped out ^^

Without any further ado, here are the two adorable girls in their new matching eyes and wigs, and Lunabelle in her new clothes and shoes! :D

Dollmeet@Secret Recipe The Curve Part 1

We had a dollmeet last week at The Curve and boy, was it fun!! A new venue (instead of Starbucks as usual) and a whole lot of interested interested people approaching us asking about BJDs....and whether we were associated with the Barbie Convention (LOL!!)
